Here is the script file for Assignment 2, which is due on March 11th. The challenge questions are (I think) especially tough this time around, so have fun with them! There's a question from Carlyn about data.table, so I've reattached the trees .csv file for you to use.
I've attached my approach to answering the questions from Assignment 1. It's in a script file and should run if you want to see the results. There are always many ways to approach the same problem in R (which makes it both flexible and difficult to learn), so if you found a way that works for you then that's great!
Here is the first assignment of the semester. I consider the first 5 questions to be fundamental skills that you should know very well, as we'll be using them a lot in the class. The challenge questions (6 through 10) are supposed to be outside your comfort zone and are designed to make you think like a programmer. Give them a try!
Start from a blank script file and don't copy/paste from other sources. I encourage you to work with other people, but everyone should turn in their own answers and code. |
